Professional Bio
Though specializing in theoretical linguistics, Dr. Halicki has a taught a variety of different courses over the last two decades in a number of different schools, including Indiana University, l’Université de Strasbourg, l’Ecole Nationale d’Administration, and Duke University. At Penn State, Dr. Halicki has taught beginning and intermediate levels of French, Francophone Civilization and Culture, Advanced Grammar and Writing, Advanced Oral Communication, and French Morphology. His current research interests focus on task-based course design and assessment, a topic he recently presented at the annual meeting of the American Association of Teachers of French, and morpho-syntactic markers in Middle French. He is a frequent contributor to the French Review’s linguistics book review section.
