Professional Bio
Sandra Rousseau is a Ph.D. candidate in French and Francophone Studies. She completed her M.A. at Penn State, which included a Master’s paper on ‘The Duty to Remember’. She is now completing her dissertation entitled Une drôle de mémoire: relations franco-algériennes et mémoire comique, 1954-2012. Her current research interests are stand-up comedy as memory, humor and trauma, politics and ethics, contemporary French pop culture. She has taught general education classes, French language and advanced culture classes for which she has received several teaching awards. In her free time she loves cooking for friends.
