Assistant Professor Fabienne Kanor has been commissioned by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York to participate in the construction of an audio guide and labels for their exhibition, Fictions of Emancipation: Carpaux Recast. The exhibition, running from March 10, 2022 to March 5, 2023, will be the first at the MET to examine the western sculpture in relation to the histories of transatlantic slavery, colonialism, and empire.
