Matthieu Dalle is Associate professor of French at the University of Louisville, where he directed the French M.A. program between 2010-2019 and is now the director of undergraduate studies in French. He received his Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University in 2002. His research interests center on media, film, and contemporary French political and cultural history. He has published articles in The French Review, Contemporary French Civilization, French Cultural Studies and has contributed a book chapter on Emmanuel Macron in La France contemporaine: unité et diversités, polarisations et solidarités, a volume in the French Review Book Series. He is also the author of the annual “Bloc-notes culturel” article in The French Review. In 2009, he created the University of Louisville French Film Festival, which he still directs.
