Luke L. Eilderts

Professor Luke L. Eilderts is Associate Professor of French and Coordinator of the French Studies Program at Southern Connecticut State University, where he teaches at all levels of the curriculum. He received his Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University in 2011. His work focuses primarily on the intersections of language, citizenship, community, gender, and sexuality in early modern and contemporary France. His work has appeared in the International Journal of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, The French Review, and French Cultural Studies. His current scholarship investigates the 2014 Réforme territoriale and the way in which it triggered anxieties concerning shifting definitions of regional and national identity.
