Dr. Yevgeny Medvedev is interested in literary expressions of uprootment, alterity, Otherness, and the search for identity. Prior to joining the French Department at PSU, he taught French language, literature, and culture courses, Humanities courses as well Russian language/literature courses at the Lake Superior State University in Sault Sainte Marie, MI. He has presented and published on Proust related topics. Presently, his research interests are shifting more toward the immigrant literature and the interdisciplinary studies of the Other.
