Amandine Gay

This masterclass will present Amandine Gay's process and strategies as a Black queer filmmaker & producer. Her first film centered the voices and creative practices of Black womxn, while her second film allows adult adoptees to reclaim the narrative about transnational adoption. In this talk, she will address how being a Black queer fem & adoptee informs her art and activism; filmmaking as narrative resistance, and using archives and aesthetics in service of contemporary political goals. Zoom link here.
